Boone County GIS

Boone County first started using GIS in the early 1990's . Today GIS has been implemented in nearly every County Department, including Assessor, Planning, Clerk, Public Works, E911, and Sheriff's Department through the use of ESRI's ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, JavaScript API, and ArcIMS.Currently, the GIS Department is actively converting their ArcIMS based viewers to ArcGIS Server JavaScript API based viewers. The County also recently finished up LiDAR and orthophoto flights as well a Master Address Database.Locally, Boone Count is a member of a local Shared GIS Consortium along with the City of Columbia and Boone Electric Cooperative. The County is also active regionally with the Region F GIS Sharing Group and on the state leave with a representative on the MGISAC.

Camden County, MO

Camden County began GIS in the late 1990a with its original efforts centered on addresses, parcel management, and street centerlines using ESRIs ArcGIS software. In 2005, the County hired a person to centralize GIS for the county. The data collection still occurs in the individual departments, but data sharing, printed map production, as well as any other centralized duty is performed in the GIS department which is based in Managed Information Systems serving all departments and agencies of Camden County. In 2006, Camden County introduced its first public website using ArcIMS technology. In 2011, the public website was updated to a Silverlight application. Camden County is involved in Region F GIS Sharing group as well a member of MGISAC.

Cole County

GIS is used in virtually all Cole County offices. The Assessor's Office, Public Works and the GIS Department are responsible for maintaining county GIS data. We use ESRI ArcGIS V10. Cole County produces our plat book "in house" and provides it as a free download online http://www.colecounty.org/colegis/. Cole County and Jefferson City have a GIS consortium called MidMoGIS. Our website www.midmogis.org provides access to map info and data online. Our public and internal mapping websites are currently being upgraded to ArcGIS Server with Silverlight using a product from WebGIS-Solutions. Cole County GIS is active as a member of MGISAC, Missouri Mappers Association, and the Region F GIS Users Group.
