Local Government

Local governments are increasingly turning to and developing geospatial tools to serve their communities and do their work better. At the same time, local government users are spread out over 114 counties and hundreds of cities and towns, making it difficult for local users to discuss, collaborate on, and solve the problems and difficulties particular to local scales of operation. The purpose of the Local Government User Community is to create an accurate and current directory of local GIS operations in Missouri. This information promotes local and regional discussion and cooperation by letting interested parties know of other interested parties. Additionally, this information supports updating and maintaining the Status of GIS map.
