o 15 counties and cities have participated in Missouri
• National Address Database
o 18 states totaling 43 million addresses collected nationally
o Hoping to post the information collected to date by the end of January
6.2 Education — Chris Barnett
• First, as far as my role vs. Shannon’s previous role, we both want to communicate that I will not necessarily be filling the same shoes. However, I do want to bring what I can to the committee, and continue to effectively communicate the committee’s actions and discussions back to MU Extension.
• As far as the large floor map, that is available through Missouri Geographic Alliance website. Access to the map is prominent in the top-level menu, under “Giant Traveling Map”. You can preview the maps, reserve them for use, and download lesson plans to use with the maps. If you need additional information, I believe Doug Hurt in the MU Department of Geography is the best contact.
• Joe Carter asked about the Story Map competition coming up this spring. Shannon related that Bob Coulter with the Missouri Botanical Garden Litzsinger Road Ecology Center is handling the event, but she wanted to me to remind the committee that volunteers will be needed for judging.
