• The ESRI contract named user levels have been updated and added to the new contract. New pricing has been updated on the contract as well.
• The current 5 year cycle of 1 year contract renewals will expire in August 2019

• An outage reported on March 20th
• Currently experiencing increased traffic on all data servers especially the imagery server with over 4 million hits during the month of March

MSDIS General News

MSDIS was very pleased to visit the St Louis University Salus Center from 13 March to 15 March to lead an ArcGIS training workshop for public health professionals. The workshop lasted roughly seven hours each day and covered multiple topics, including basic mapmaking in ArcGIS Pro, spatial analysis in both ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop, general preparation of tabular data, geocoding, and application development in ArcGIS Online. The attendees came from a variety of St Louis-area agencies and specialized primarily in epidemiology and emergency response.

On 21 March, MSDIS visited the Missouri Geological Survey at Rolla to present a 2019 update of clearinghouse activities and services for their April Lunch and Learn.

MSDIS Downtime

MSDIS Services were unavailable on 20 March 2019 from approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The cause of the outage was traced to the failure of multiple nodes of the computing cluster that stores the data distributed by MSDIS.
