Mark D and Ray met with MACOG, MOU signed as part of grant, any RPC that wishes to take part in training. NGPO article in Geospatial Solutions magazine. Lot of NSGIC participation. National Map themes/skins/customized views planned, Indiana preparing. Will extend viewable layers as available. Tim H: work afoot to have USGS tech center in Rolla, also NGA/USGS in Rolla.

167 early registrations, 1 student, 235 total (vendors, etc.). Will make room block.

It’s done, emails out to all speakers a few days ago, only one drop (out of country).
Workshop: Mark Duewell & David Drum & Jeff Haney
Attendance OK, some sessions about 50-60% capacity, some less so. Tim H: remote sensing workshop attendance not meeting spirit of grant, would like to cancel and reschedule to a later date. Request from Jeff F for a motion to cancel Remote Sensing workshop, motion from Steve Marsh, second from Jeff F, approved by vote.
Exhibits: Jim LaScala & David Drum
21 vendors in 22 booths, 5 not-for-profit, 27 booths, one left. Possibility of MMA reciprocal booth arrangement. One vendor with Tool Time not yet signed up, maybe one other vendor; booth will go to first comer.

22 submissions, wide variety of topics. Four student posters.

Ordered, came in under budget but not by much.

MSDIS Activities
Busy month, community mapping meeting with 4-H, CARES, discussion about stewardless data layers, like idea of project. CAP rollout, very interested in training. MACOG pushing very hard on regional transportation planning.ArcSDEon schedule, National Map, NAIP by end of February. Indexing, search next. GTC picking up HAZUS soon, 2, maybe 3 sessions, plus summer. Heartland HUG membership required to attend. University proposal for Community Mapping Center. Flood analysis proposal with CARES. Question from Jeff Schloss about why MODOT data updates are not on MSDIS or at least announced on MSDIS list. Discussion.

Jason Ebersole: MODOT updateCDsand on FTP site. Includes coverage data model that shows internal linkages between arcs, nodes, lines, etc. Look at PDF.
Jeff Schloss: looking at wetlands in urban areas, looking for free city parcel linework.
JimLaScala: can Platte Co. put NAIP imagery on their web site? Answer: yes.
Steve Marsh: one position in GIS Specialist open, 3 coming. Must be Jackson County resident.
