Dr. Larsen has announced he will be stepping down as the Dept Chair; using reached out to the School of Visual Studies – interactive storytelling dept – advertising the MSDIS Internship.

No transactions since the conference, nothing to report; Tim’s has officially retired from Surdex.

6.1 Data Development – Buster Schrage
No update – would like to start the discussion on DD for the upcoming few years – gathering, creating, enhancing data. A letter of support was requested by Brian Maydwell of the Missouri 911 data enhancement project, and MGISAC will prepare it and vote on its acceptance at the Nov meeting. Brian sent an email of request/proposal to the MGISAC membership toward the end of the meeting.
6.2 Education – Richard Perkins (absent), Laura Estabrooks present
CPS is looking for someone super-experienced in GIS to teach an advanced geospatial class in the 2022-2023 school year – get in contact with Richard if interested. Laura said that in the past, a teaching certificate has been required (15 hours of Master’s-level coursework).
6.3 MOGISCON’21 – Colin Duewell & Melissa Johnson
